Blagaj, Herzegovina
Aganovac
A small riverside camp under the willows, where the water stays ice-cold even in summer. Pitch your tent, borrow a canoe, and forget you're only 12 minutes from Mostar.
Why this place
A camp on the Buna River
The camp sits on the bank of the Buna, one of Europe's strongest springs. The water runs 8°C year-round — cold enough to shock you, clear enough to see the riverbed. Pitch your tent under the willows, borrow a canoe, and by evening you'll forget you're 12 minutes from Mostar.
This is a family-run place — the Aganovac household. Small enough to know every guest, big enough to fit 60 people when the tents fill in under the walnut trees. There's a shared kitchen with stoves and a fridge, hot showers, and a bakery around the corner.
Blagaj has been here since 7000 BC. The Tekke sits at the river's source. A medieval fortress watches from above. And from camp, it's all a walk away.
